He just lost the office unless he emerges as APC consensus candidate for the Speaker.

Its amazing how pdp continues to regurgitate and swallow its own vomit.
Late last year, the pdp came out to argue that because they are the majority they are solely entitled to produce the speaker. At that time it was convenient for them because they were fighting Tambuwal's defection.

Today now they want to argue the opposite that any party can produce speaker. What a shame! Party of losers!!

Firstly please don't get me wrong, I think Nigerian polity is a charade however, all those suggesting that the minority party cannot produce the leader should ask themselves 'what about Tambuuwal(forgive my spelling if I am wrong)' ?. In as much as political parties should strive for sustainability, it should not be at the detriment of the electorate. They are servants to the people and the people come first. Shalom.

Calm down. The headline did not say PDP will produce the next speaker. It says will determine which means that any APC speaker hopeful that is able to woo the PDP to vote for him will carry the day.

Just the way Tambuwal did. It was zoned to south west but he worked with the opposition to get votes and he became speaker.

My advice for the SE/SS PDP law makers that constitute the majority in the incoming national assembly do not waste ur time on a blind battle. South South has no credible candidate in the house since the guy in question is from Edo. What you must do is to ensure no Yoruba or Edo man gets into any of those offices so that Tinubu and the Yorubas will realise they are the most unfortunate in the in-coming political dispensation. Remember Edo state is not in the South/South it is in the South West. So it's payback time guys. Support Northerners for those positions. You may support the Edo guy for deputy speaker. That's all. No Yoruba man or woman should smell any of those top poitions(Senate Presiden and Speaker). Others can play betrayal game too!

But why will apc lawmakers be consulting tinubu to select who becomes the Senate president and house of reps respectively?The era of godfatherism ought to have been abolish before now.This is democracy.
