Another feather to my cap,

I have added.

I wanted straight from

The heart smile.

Instead,

I got a suppressed gloom

From my best friend.

His trials darkens the fringes

Of a joy chaste.

He is not unhappy with

My new feather.

Just sad he has none.

Okay, some of you may be wondering what this poem is all about. In a nutshell, the poem is saying sometimes our friends may seem unhappy with our success but it could be that they're genuinely happy; the gloomy face may be that they wish to be successful as Well.
