What made Gowon, Murtala, Obasanjo, Buhari Head of State. What made Babangida or even Abacha COAS's and later HoS, professionalism ?, competence?, integrity? Were they the best the army had to offer at that time. Were they the best in their class? Without the same system that placed a certain Kenneth Minimah we will never have known a certain Muhammadu Buhari. They are all beneficiaries of the jaundiced Nigerian system.

Very rubbish piece of crappie! I believe ur useless investigation is only on the ihejirikas while leaving out all the northern generals that have looted the military over the years. U see the reason I don't trust the so called anti corruption war of the apc.... I see it as more of a sectarian fight.... All I will say is that Gmb should be very careful not to incite ethnic war again bcz if he does, trust me the union bow the S'S and SE would be unimaginable and nigeria will never come out of it ever United again! It's an advice to apc, an advice worth heeding to cry

Don't mind them jare. Very eristic people and sore losers. I voted for Jonathan, he was my president, he performed poorly and was voted out. If Buhari performs poorly he too would be booted out. Some people know the truth and yet they fight against it. Mofos and self denigrates angry

It is easy to retire officers considered corrupt because you consider them beneath you and so very expendable, yet you are desperate to accept ministerial nominees from utterly corrupt ex military officers like Obasanjo and Danjuma without probing their massive loot. . The gang of Buhari, Danjuma, Babangida and Obasanjo seem to feel they own the Nigerian military. Their feeling of entitlement is overwhelminly dangerous and inimical to the development of this countrys democratic institutions.

Another positive move from GMB..So many illegalities are ongoing in the military presently..For these reasons,a complete overhauling of it is required.
Positive move? Has he done anything? Maybe you wanted to say positive news or probably positive speculation. Don't count your eggs before they are hatched, while maintaining optimism, always remember humans are not dependable. Many promises were made by some in the past, years down the line nothing is done. And anyway what am I saying self, this is just a newspaper speculation, it isn't even coming from Buhari's mouth; so why should we be too reliant on it?

See big foools, the military today is much more professional than it was during the Obasanjo and Buhari's era. During Obj and GMB time, all that occupied their mind then was women, coup, stealing government money and lastly annihilation of Igbos.

Minimah should organise a coup now! This country does not belong to four or five ediots! If buhari can not arrest Diya, Obasanjo, Abubakar, Danjuma, Babangida, he has no moral justification whatsoever to start a sectionally petty witchunting exercise in the military. This is Nigerias military not Arewaoduaistan military.

Thank you !!! I don't get these 'suffering and smiling' elements who are nothing but an aberration and a disgrace to Nigerian. Imagine a Ghanaians or Cameroonian reading Nairaland to note Nigerians themselves bitterly speaking against and resisting positive changes that they and their generations unborn will be the biggest beneficiaries of. It is truly troubling and I cringe at what Nigerians come here daily to write out of ethno-religious bitterness and hatred their fellow Nigerians. I must confess, as a well-travelled and well-exposed person, that I have never come across the level of 'cut your nose to spite your face" lunacy Nigerians display. Simply incredible !!!! Imagine telling a rape victim that you intend to lock their assailant up for a long time only for the same victim to begin openly supporting their own rapists and then cursing you for suggesting that the perpetrator of such heinous crime be prosecuted and punished. Some Nigerians simply don't understand how mentally 'troubled' they are.

what a mischievous story.

Very unlikely to have any shred of truth.

Those secretly plotting Buhari overthrow may be hoping to use this fake story as justification.

Joker. No one organised a coup even when GEJ misruled Nigeria horribly and almost succeeded in turning our nation into Afghanistan. Yet you now suggest a coup to thwart an incoming President ready to birth the needed changes your failed messiah rejected and worked against. There will be no coup now and Buhari will come in to 'cleanse the Augean stables' whether ethnocentric bigots like you want this much-needed change or not. Nigeria cannot continue to be at the mercy of wicked, hateful and confused people like you who proudly wallow in poverty and are ready to continue with stone-age living conditions even neighbouring West African nations have long moved beyond simply because you hate the idea 'a.bok1' and 'Yoloba' will lead Nigeria into prosperity where your kinsman your were ethnically devoted failed horribly. If a decent and 'well-calibrated' human being, you should simply focus on the good leadership of Nigeria regardless of the ethnic group of the individuals who can deliver such.

Remain in your bitter, self-destructive and aberrant corner all you want. The rest of us who are normal simply want stable and reliable electricity, optimal healthcare, reduction of nation-destroying corruption, good transport infrastructure, high quality education, Jobs. growth of the all-important SME sector, decent security of lives and property, prosperity, a respected nation with good relationship with others and all-round socio-economic development. This is why Nigerians voted out the misruling GEJ and gave their majority mandate to Buhari. Control the hate in your wicked soul or watch as it destroys you.
