This morning I decided to do something I haven't done for a while, wear a native dress. However while winding down the dressing I discovered that I don't possess any good sandal as foot wear. Being a brave fashionister lol, I decided to wear a shoe and a socks. Little did I know I had committed a faux pau because I was accosted by a fellow staff, a lady, who advised me never to try it again.
The question my people is, is it wrong to wear socks to a shoe on native wear?

depends on d style.. if its patterned, maybe not.

but the corporate natives, yomi casual styles could worn with socks.

I personally do not think it's a faux pas.....I've seen guys wear socks on native attires and they looked fab....perhaps you need to ensure there are no color clashes though...i.e. the socks color should not be 'out of touch' compared to your native outfit......also ensure the socks is not a soccer socks (lol, just joking )

Mine is the traditional style. Two side pockets and all.

Lol. That's true, my socks wasn't soccer socks though, but the shoe and socks were black, compared to the brown native wear.
