The Minister of Power, Chinedu Nebo, on Wednesday charged the incoming administration of Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) not to reverse the power privatisation policy of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

The minister, who spoke against the backdrop of insinuations that Buhari’s administration may reverse the power privatisation policy, said it would be counter-productive with attendant grave consequences.

On the current poor power supply in the country, Nebo said some group of Nigerians were frustrating the government effort at making power available.

He stated that government had the capacity to provide 5,500megawatts of power but hampered by the activities of vandals who destroy gas pipelines to frustrate government’s efforts at making power available

Reverse the privatization please......we pay bills for non existent power.

Everyone knows power is better in the hands of the private sector,Nigerians should sue the power companies for 24hrs power supply default . The only problem is that there is not even a single contract existing between phcn and it's customer (Nigerians) .

Some of private stakeholders are directors in diesel marketing and Generator companies..who on earth allows that ?
