Rooting the Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge
Take your phone, make sure that USB Debugging is enabled and turn it off. Press the power button and select Power Off.
Now, press and hold the volume up, home and power buttons at the same time for a few seconds to boot into Download Mode.
Now download the required files, including CF-Auto-Root and Odin.
Extract both of the zip files.
Navigate to the folder where you extracted Odin and launch the program.
Now connect your phone to your PC.
Odin will recognize your phone and one of the boxes “ID:COM” will turn blue.
Now click on PDA or AP and select the extracted tar.md5 file.
Click “Install”.
