Meet my best friend. He's name is Max and i just got him recently and he was born on Jan 28 2015. I need serious help and i will really appreciate your contribution/help. There's something that started swelling out on his back but i think the cause is the injection given to him at the wrong spot by a breeder who sold him to me. "mistake of him" I guess!. I took him to another VET in my area last week to examine him but he gave him antibiotic and some drugs for cure, but i am getting worried day by day because I don't want the spot to deform Max and i think it might also affect his growth and leave a bad shape on him . I am thinking of visiting a vet hospital to operate the stuff out off him or is there anything that can be done ASAP. I had spent a lot on Max lately since have got him.

Lastly, he doesn't eat anymore and he's loosing shape greatly. I bought him enough food (my lord dry food 15kg, Bag of Rice, Indomie and even Pedigree can food). I want my dog to be in a good shape, big and healthy.

Please I will appreciate your help.

nice dog I love it... As for the swollen area, this z not something anti biotics can solve... Take it to the vet doc.. I think ur dog needs examination and xray

I recently had a puppy who had this same problem, he was d first in d litter, i dnt really know if that connects tho but he was still with his mum (which belonged to me) wen it developed, she did all d work, i didnt spend ntin, she used her tongue to lick dat spot untill it opened leaving a large sore which seemed like pulse as liquid substance which wasnt blood came out, his mother continued licking it till d liquid stoped coming out nd it later healed, i will suggest that u deep cotton wool or a soft cloth into a warm water nd rub that spot continously till there is an opening for d pulse to come out, the purpose is to serve as an alternative for d mother's tongue, most vets will keep on doing guess work, well if u have a very good vet, then they could be helpfull. But as i said if he is with his mother, d mother instinct will mk her lick it naturally, if not, do wat i said nd ensure u clean d sore regularly, because it bcoms irritating at a point, so sorry for how u feeling now, just do as i said even as d vet administer his own drugs

That's called "ABSCESS"...Trust your vet can handle this, that's if he's a good one. The right choice of antibiotics should do the magic...But meanwhile, you can help with a lil therapy sortof, but you need to be careful about this...

Take Max to a reliable Vet for physical (and also clinical examination), after which the aetiology of the mass could be ascertained & appropriate treatment given subsequently. I would have helped but I'm based in the north.

Sometimes when a subcute inj goes wrong that's what actually happens say 2/3 days after the injection. It will get better though the inj will all turn puss and eventually form a wound around the area..
