Arsenal will be £3 million richer, if Barcelona beat Juventus in the Champions League final next month, thanks to a clause in Thomas Vermaelen’s transfer package.
The Belgian defender left the Emirates for Spain last year for a fee around £15 million, but is yet to play a single minute for the Catalans, having arrived with an injury.
Part of the agreement was that the Gunners will get about £3 million if Barcelona win the Champions League.
The La Liga club will get 40 winners medals to distribute to squad members and Vermaelen is likely to pick up one.

Not really surprised. Wenger is an economist, and I bet he inserted that clause in the contract.

WTF? they don't deserve a dime. Vermaelen hasn't even smelt the pitch. he's just collecting salary and partying. he has made zero contribution so far
