The series will include Edwin Edwards' daughters: Anna, a 62-year-old, four-time divorcee, and Victoria, whom A&E described in a news release as 'a hardened 60-year-old ex-showgirl.'
Trina has sons from a previous marriage, Logan, 15 and Trevor, 13.
Episodes will include school projects and Trina making a run for president of the local homeowner's association. She also discusses the possible addition of a baby to the Edwards clan and skeptics who think she's a gold digger, according to the news release.

This Osho marriage talk is really uncalled for. When do we start thinking straight as a people? Making mockery of peoples looks isn't fair on the person, personally I believe its not right to mock or make joke out of an individual looks or condition because sub consciously you are hurting them.
The bashing has to stop and let's respect the couple rights to freedom of association. I wish them a happy married life.
Pls could this topic on the marriage be the last, I think we have had enough already.

Well, regardless of everything everybody seems to hv to say, the truth remains that, with dat kind of meat at home, I don't think he would fall into the hands of 'strange women' knowing he has something more appettising at home.

The public barely knew about it, and the people who did, found out when his reality show came about. His love life didn't garner attention the way Oshiomole's has. Moreover, when Edwards got married I didn't see any social networking site making mockery of him and his wife, and the fact that people think it's ok to give their unsolicited opinion about this man's choice is inappropriate.

In short you CANNOT show that Americans could not care less when they married.
The fact that they had a reality show and there were those who considered her a gold digger would suggest that indeed there was PUBLIC interest in their marriage at the time.

Moreover, in case you missed the obvious differences between the two characters, let me point some out to you =>

Oshiomole is the CURRENT governor of a state while Edwards was an ex-convict and former governor when he married Trina after their meeting while he was in prison.

Trina had two teenage kids already. I doubt if Lara is an after-two baby mama/divorcee also or do you think she is huh

The concern of people criticizing is that many ladies are placing material gains above true affection.

Indirectly you have just revealed she is trading her beauty for a selfish interest which is fortune.

If this trend continues our ladies will begin to hunt for rich and famous men without considering several other factors necessary for a happy marriage.

Also, the ladies will pay more attention to external beauty neglecting inner virtue. The not so beautiful ladies will possibly get depressed.

Eventually the men will get into crime all to get a pretty woman.

Wealth and beauty should be given secondary attention when making a marital commitment.
