You are wrong. Very much so. Why didn't Buhari win Obasanjo, Yar'Adua and Jona in all the Northern states in the past? He's very much beatable in the North, though it has become more difficult now that he's the president. If Buhari can step up to the plate and transform our country,keep at least 25% of his promises,bring corrupt people to justice and make our economy a model for other African countries,people like atiku would not even have the courage to contest because People will use Buhari's administration as an example for othjers to follow.

We know that our politicians have no ideology or principle that guide them. Progressive, social democrat or conservative, all have no meaning in the Nigerian political jungle. It's winner takes it all.

if the whole north had done what it did in 2015, i dont see how gej would have had a smooth ride, even though sw/ss/se had gone with pdp. you don't get it my friend. the north is not a united entity you assert.
North west is uniform and with large population
North east not as uniform with states like adamawa, taraba, bauchi etc.
North central: apart from Niger state that is similar to north west but with substantial christian ( gwagi) population.

The only thing uniting the North has been religion ( which is a good thing) for the Muslim but some selfish leaders have been using this to marginalized minorities in these areas.

Buhari is loved by poor( talakawa) northers ( mostly north west and north east). luckily he is good man and upright man that can transform Nigeria for all Nigerians.

North Nigeria is complex, religion still play an important role because majority of voters are illiterate who vote base on ethnic ad religious believe.
