A Mosque collapsed this Sunday evening at zamba street,ikate surulere. Witnesses said one minute the building was standing, the next, they heard it giving way and watched it collapse, everyone present ran away from and around the building. Fortunately there was no one insde the building. Another photo after the cut.

Thank God Allah it didn't happen on a Friday, the building must be very old.

A Mosque has reportedly collapsed on Sunday, May 17 in Surulere, Lagos.

Report said residents of Zamba street, Ikate, where the incident occurred, scampered for safety as they watched the building come down from a distance.

As at the time of filing this report, no casualty was recorded as the building was said to be empty when it collapsed.

Eyewitnesses said the collapse was sudden, stating that the building did not show any sign of a possible dilapidation – it happened abruptly.

Thank goodness for its mercy that no life was lost

Dear, its not about been old or the foundation not good. Its simply using quacks and substandard materials for the building. The first story building in Nigeria is still standing strong at Badagry.
