The latest happening marriage between Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole and Iara Fortes on Friday, May 15, 2015, has set many tongues wagging.
The governor Oshiomole got married to Iara Fortes, who hails from Cape Verdean 5 years after the death of first wife, Clara.
Oshimhole’s wedding was the major topic on social media for three days and here are five reasons why:

Short Notice: News of the governor’s impending nuptials came out on Wednesday, May 13, barely 48 hours to the wedding.
Age Difference: The governor is 63 and his beautiful bride is said to be 36-years-old.
Child's Absence: Oshiomhole’s daughter, Winifred, didn’t attend the wedding citing a busy schedule.
Haram Handshake: President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari shook the new Mrs Oshiomhole’s hand and apparently this is “haram” or wrong.
Frowning Festival: There was a noticeable shortage of smiles at the Oshiomhole wedding. Iara’s dentition was only sighted a few times and the governor’s, not at all.
