Hi everyone, recently my 5 YO Daughter is facing constipation issue. I'm so worrying because she told me that sometimes her stomach is quite pain and she never poo for 4 days. I'm a new mother so I'm not dare to give her to try any medicine. I hope anyone here can suggest to me that what kind of remedies can prevent the issue.

Have u given plenty fruits including orange juice? plenty water? If it has persisted, u can tk her to d hospital.

Pls whoever knows anyone dat knows anyone dat knows anyone dat works in Nestle, shld tell dem 2 pls improve d taste of Nutrend. It tastes like shaft. I always force my lo 2 take it, but wen I tasted it, I regretted buying it. Wen I give her friso gold, she takes it without stress bt wen it comes 2 d nutrend, na war. I'm switching 2 cerelac once dis tin finish. Sorry 4 d ranting.

I took nutrend a lot wen i was in school.

I finally bought frisogold wheat after checking all the cereals in the store. It's far better than that Nutrend. Ive given him twice now and i think he loves it. I even added his formula thinking it's the same with Nutrend. I tasted it and found out twas too sweet. That means it has enough milk already. I won't add milk henceforth.

I started with Aptamil and everthing was fine but when i couldn't get the milk, i bought Nan 2 and he reacted badly to it. Now i'm giving him SMA gold and it's okay.
U shouldn't prepare it too thick. The way u prepare is written on the tin. one scoop to 30ml of water. Maybe that's the problem.
U can start with wheat . I think it's easily digestible(written on it). Hope this helps

@munz, I can't stop laughing, normally cereals improve,we used Nutrend for my cousin about 11years ago and it was not so bad, though I have not used it for my baby, anyway you can use others with your frisogold cereal

Please don't alter the measurement of the milk...it is very dangerous....it is even written on the tin. Who advised spoonfeeding milk? I have never heard or read that one before o. A 6mth old should be taking milk from a bottle, a sippy cup or a regular baby cup. Spoon will create a mess even.

Pls Madam, follow the other advice given. Take your baby to the doctor. Measles in children is not beans, that's why they particularly developed a vaccine against it. Any illness in children should not be taken lightly. Pls see your doctor.

Besides, wasn't he vaccinated?

that's what the nurses at govt hosps advise, but I don't follow that wahala, I only give cereal with spoon and plate, it's more reasonable

How old is your baby? I'm currently using aptamil 3 for 1yr- 2yrs

Thick ke? Pls follow the instruction on the tin. Also you need to get a feeder( feeding bottle) or sippy cup. Rice is always better as first cereal.

A nurse also told me to feed my baby with cup and spoon that using bottle is very dangerous, i didnt take to it o because its not easy feeding formular with it. I just rejected all the bad effect she said it can cause like choking. Moreover,our mothers have been using feeders for so many years and nothing happened.

There s absolutely nothing wrong wt spoon feeding a baby milk.

After exclusively breastfeeding my baby, he didnt tk formular so i gv cereals and added formular to his cereals and pap. As odas hv said, u dont need to mk d milk thick. U cld get either of d cereals u mentioned. There re actually a lot of cereals out there in d mkt.

Some People saying using a spoon and a plate is more hygienic, than using feeding bottles. Cos u will have sterilize d feeding bottle bottle, why d plate you just wash it. Also some babies reject feeding bottles.
