If this allegation is true, then our police outfit has sunk into an abyss of apology.The police,have, sadly, morphed into a machinery of terror-pure and simple! They, as presently set up, have outlived their usefulness.The general public has a bad perception of the police.That alone should give them pause.They are at their wit ends.

Thank God for the DPO who ordered his release. So many missing people are being held against their will in jails. Some have no means of reaching anyone nor money to 'recharge' DPO's phone.

What will it take I wonder to totally re-structure the system? For no one to be held more against their will and with no evidence for more than 48 hours and no court adjournments without sentencing?
Should a team of lawyers be attached to every police station so that they are aware of cases that need to be thrown out or those that need the court so that no one stays in jail for no offence thereby de-congesting the prisons?

What can and should be done? I wonder

Those pple.... They are so useless,its only money they sabi common sense zero.

They collected money and released most of those cult boys disturbing us in Shomolu. Its only a matter of time before those guys graduate to armed robbers. Since they ve killed before, doing it again wont be a problem.

Someone is overdue for an eye checkup.

Same thing happened to my sister some years ago.
She was held for two days . funny enough we complained at same police station but they denied seen her and promised they will join us in looking for her .

Same thing happened to me in Abuja in 2011. Just like that I was arrested at an eatery around 10pm along with many other innocent citizens. Nigerian police are so wicked and inhumane. I spent 2 days along with almost a thousand others before someone from the presidency came to bail me. Meanwhile, they took the remaining others to court. I'll never forget that evil

The police stations no longer do that anymore I believe.he was held by the SARS Special Anti Robbery Squad,they can even decide to kill him that he is a criminal,
Police statons would not hold you and not allow you to reach out to no one,
