Well,you're not totally wrong but considering the time it was shipped in and the cost of clearing it,what else do you expect from us? Moreso,we haven't said it's a final price. Make an offer if you're interested and we take it up from there. But if your aim is just to tell me price is high when you have no interest in it,I'd advice you look for something else to do.

My point exactly. This car cost $16,000 at auction export, plus fees and shipping $3200 and then clearing $5,000. Exchange rate of N200 to a dollar, you get $24,200 at N4,840,000 to your door step. Comparing that to N8,800,000; that's an estimated profit of N3,960,000 (45% - 50% profit margin) very exorbitant. SMH

There are certain things about this whip that I can't explain in public. If you're interested,just state your offer and if it works,we do biz. But take note,I haven't intentionally inflated this price. As a bizman,I can't start giving you details of why it's on the high side. Thank you.

Chief I just stated my observations and did my calculations. Even if you purchased the car at inflating dollar rate, the highest pips dollars got to was at N225. This is a c250 and not a c300. To be honest with you, the price you are stating is for an E350. I'm not trying to burst your bubbles and sorry I cannot make an offer when the price is twice the market rate.

And from your logic,if we assume the car was brought in at a landing cost of roughly 5m,it should be sold for 5m too? Pls,kindly put an end to this. when prospective buyers make comments try not to be too harsh buying a car is not child's play and a lot of people will make in-depth research before committing funds that been said putting a price that is too high will also push away some customers who wont even bother to haggle happy sales though

The problem I usually have with most of yyou on nairaland is that,sometimes,you guys tend to make us feel like yyou know too much but at the end of the day,you ending up embarrassing yourselves. By your analogy,you're trying to say all tokunbo cars bought and shipped to Nigeria,are from auction export. This is quite ridiculous. Secondly,you sent a link to a car with a salvage title,having 46k miles and you think it should be the same price with a car of 20k miles;this really shows yyou know very little about the auto biz viz-a-viz pricing. Furthermore,you sent a link to a car in California and yyou think such a car will be same price with a car in new jersey,new york or maryland? Is it that yyou do not know that a car in California would actually be cheaper than a car in those other cities that are close to the port? I wouldn't go into an argument on a subject matter I know very little about cos I wouldn't want to look silly. I think yyou should adopt that pattern too. Moreover,I have sold several cars here and the truth is that,the serious ones who buy cars don't bother typing "how much last" or haggling about the price here. They pick up their phones and put a call through for negotiations,and we transact. That's how I know serious clients.

guy chill this is the same hot tempered response i was cautioning you against take a deep breath and read what i wrote again incase you cant i am only pointing out that if someone prior to pricing the car did their research and saw a car such as the link i provided then they are likely to find yours expensive and complain about the price you as a business man should be able to bring real facts about why yours is priced as such and why a customer should part with the extra money and secondly overpricing anything is not such a good idea sometimes as if people see a price that is above their budget they are less likely to even haggle example if i budget 6m and i come and see yours at 8.8m i might just move on as the difference is budget is a lot. like i said calm down not everyone that replies on your thread is criticizing you and like i said happy sales and hope i get a cut of the profit for all this typing

I have a pearl white 2012 toyota highlander with 6k miles for sale but most of the people from NL think it's expensive @ 7.3m. Average market price is between 6.2m - 6.5m with an average mileage of 25k miles. I need to sell it off asap to clear a container alread sitting at the port for 4 weeks now. Vehicles in the container are: 1 unit of 2011 venza,1 unit of 2014 corollla,1 unit of 2014 accord and 1 unit of 2012 volkswagen bug. I can sell the 012 highlander at a reduced price just to clear the container;would you like to pick it up?
