How many trials would you need to make to be 100% sure you can unlock a box with a 3-digit combination lock with each part of the lock having digits ranging from 0 to 9?

we were given the figure 0-9 which equal 10 different digit when counted. We were told to choose 3 d
iff number to unlock the box and this gives us a clue i.e we can use Combination to solve the queston.
Therefore, we have 10 Combination 3=n!/(n -r)! r!
where r=3 and n= 10
10!/(10-3)! 3!
10!/7! 3!
10. 9. 8. 7!/ 7! 3!
10.9.8/3.2.1
720/6= 120

!= factorial and (.) = multiplication
