United Kingdom newspaper, The Telegraph has ranked Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, as the 18th best goalkeeper in the world in 2015. In a poll conducted by the newspaper on its website, Enyeama made the list of the top 20 goalkeepers in the world. Manuel Neuer of Bayern Munich is in first place followed by Manchester United’s David De Gea and Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois. Ranking fourth is Joe Hart of Manchester City while Gianluigi Buffon of Juventus came fifth.

Enyeama kept 11 consecutive clean sheets in 2013/2014 season only conceding a goal after 1,062 minutes, making him 114 minutes away from equalling Gaëtan Huard’s Ligue 1 goalkeeping record of 1,176 minutes of clean sheets set in 1993. Liverpool FC is reportedly scouting him for a £3m deal at the end of the season.
