This was as Daily Sun learnt
that several highly placed persons and
multinational companies who attended a recent
US State Department briefing cited corruption as
the main reason for low investment in Nigeria’s
oil sector. Against this background, a source said
the US is backing a senior official of a multi-
national oil company from the Niger Delta who
is conversant with transparency rules to emerge
as the Petroleum Minister

After you sell the public the corruption boogeyman, Please tell us if the increase investment in Nigeria would improve the price of oil in the market?. Why invest to increase capacity, when there is no place to sell your product. The IOC majors are leaving and withholding investment because the locals in many areas don't want to deal with them anymore. Business wise for them, Nigeria is not worth the bad press, for their corporate name. By the way capital investment in the petroleum sector worldwide dropped almost 50% since 2013. Maybe Nigeria's corruption is the reason too.

Do you understand the meaning of passive?

Let's put it another way, he out source his responsibilities
What is that to you? A functional leader or a Sisi

Interesting. They are not buying our oil and they intend to point
the direction of policy in the oil industry. USA started 419!

Buhari should comply with the interest of US, they supported him to do their biding, GEJ refused to be guided by US directive and never did their biding today he is a goner. If Buhari must last he should comply with the US and UK. Remember they are not father Xmas and no free gift even in Freetown

Valid word of caution, it has to be said. The question is why the sudden interest in nigeria

Naah...their interest is not sudden. It has always been there. They are just looking for someone to do their bidding.

It takes at least two people for corruption to occur so why isn't the US condemning their multinational companies for handing out bribes. These guys give out obscene amount of money to greedy Nigerians who can not refuse it to bend the law to favor them so why is the US only concerned about us.

Why can't the US condemn the actions of their multinational companies who spill oil in the niger delta region making life unbearable for the inhabitants.

I would strongly advise buhari to deal carefully with these hypocrites. The US are only after their selfish interests

I still thank God for Saudi Arabians.
