Here in Africa it is not wrong but in western world it wrong and even an abuse on the kid.

There you have it. Its not about Africa vs Oyinbo. Now adays when you can easily change food or give some multivite drops(ABIDEK) with your doctors supervision to stimulate apetite. Just look for what baby likes and feed him that food until he pssses that phase. Unless the parent is so poor that she cannot afford anyother food but Akanmu.
Many kids died due to the reault of force feeding but we never knew. Food may enter the lungs or some other part and the effect may be noticed few days later which may kill the child. As ussual it will be linked to witchcraft or the child labeled an ogbanje or the unfortunate friend/relative that gave the child akara will be blamed for the death.
Those who know how to force feed can manage to do it without problem but the risk isnt worth it in the end if one child is lost due to this style of feeding.
