Iconic comedian and host of the “Late-Show” for over 30 years, David Letterman, is finally hanging up his spurs. He has influenced countless comedians and even paved the way for some to succeed. Look no further than with Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel’s tearful final farewells to see just how much he meant to the next generation of late-night talk show hosts. We will miss his Top Ten lists, his quick and dry wit, his iconic gap-toothed smile, and most of all the laughs he provided all of us for such a long time. So thanks for all the memories, Dave. And thanks to the folks over at Mashable for putting together these photo composites of some of Dave’s most memorable quotes from his incredible run on late-night. 1 Like

Majek Fashek once performed on David Letterman's show back in the days. Dude was really talented. The videos are on youtube. As for Letterman, America will miss him so much. . . Lifetime of broadcasting success. . . |

nairalandist:yeah, i've seen the video too. Big stride for Majek then - first (and only) west african performer on that show (I THINK)... Letterman brought so many dudes to limelight! He'll probably retire to something smaller just like Larry King did. |
