Ramadan is the Muslim Holy month in the Islamic calendar when fasting is carried out.
It starts on the first day of the Islamic calendar month of Ramadan.(As you know there is a difference between the Gregorian and Islamic calendars so you might need to consult Google). It is usually 29 or 30 days
As a special way to end a special day, delicacies are consumed. But gluttony is not encouraged.
Consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidding at all times in Islam(except during special circumstances like medication). Having sex with one's legally married wife in the night(when one isn't Fasting is not a sin) but fornication and adultery are sins irrespective of the month.
