The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in a statement on monday said Ekiti state Governor Ayodele Fayose and 9 other ex-governors are still currently standing trial for corrupt practices while they were in office.

Other Ex-governors that are still in variuos court includes Lucky Igbinedion (Edo), Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu), Orji Uzor Kalu (Abia), Saminu Turaki (Jigawa), Joshua Dariye (Plateau), Abubakar Audu (Kogi), Danjuma Goje (Gombe), Aliyu Akwe Doma (Nasarawa) and Jolly Nyame (Taraba).

The Head, Media and Publicity of the Commission, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, said this at a press briefing in Abuja on Monday.

Mr. Uwujaren said however, the case of corrupt enrichment brought against Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has been temporarily put on hold following his election as the governor of the state in line with the immunity clause in the Nigerian Constitution.

The EFCC spokesperson disclosed that apart from seizing the assets of most of the suspects, it had also frozen the accounts of companies linked to the former state governors.

This EFCC is like the husband who keeps shouting that he is the head of the house while the wife is giving him a beat down in front of his neighbours.

Look at the list..

Some of them left office 8yrs ago and you are still saying case to answer. A primary 5 child when this people left power would be in 100 level now, having completed secondary school. If an individual can make such progress in that time WTF are you peeps saying.
Imagine igbenedion, Kali, dariye, even that dude that has handed over to his ssg.

EFCC need over hauling along with the judiciary.

Jonah-daft the curse deliberately killed EFCC "star". The curse is gradually leaving and suddenly EFCC seems to be aware of its responsibilities.
Never again should we have a curse govern us again.
