A former United States of America’s Ambassador to Nigeria, John Campbell, has declared that the war against Boko Haram insurgents remains a major challenge for the new government of President Muhammad Buhari. According to Campbell, the country’s security and economic challenges will take a long time to be addressed. He said: “Nigeria’s challenges are great: Boko Haram and a huge population of internally displaced, a potential renewal of an insurrection in the oil patch, ubiquitous corruption, falling oil prices, labour unrest, and generally, a people by and large alienated from their government and their elites. “President Muhammadu Buhari has appealed for patience from the Nigerian people. It remains to be seen whether they will give it to him. Nigeria’s challenges will be there tomorrow and for long after.” http://dailypost.ng/2015/05/31/nigerias-security-and-economic-challenges-will-remain-for-long-campbell/

shakazuldadon:Na true my brother. He is the one that said it. He failed in that one and would probably fail in this one too because the desire of many Nigerians is for peace to reign in every part of the country. Enough of doom predictions |

Depending on the quickness of government to resolve certain immediate and serious issues like unemployment, insecurity and public service reforms, we'll likely get a faster solution to other large and long term issues like electricity, corruption, infrastructure development, education reforms etc |
