I want him to create a Task force, that wil be in charge of arresting any youth wandering about during school and work hours, then he can set a big farms tru out the country, so any youth caught wandering around with no job or nothing should be retired to farming, so maybe this will reduce unemployement and crimes. |

gsainttrinity:Now that Jonathan is out, everyone including his fiercest critic, is coming back to the wisdom nuggets shared by our cerebral, scientific and systematic ex-president. Welcome to change! https://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-happy023.gif |

Fighting corruption in Nigeria is really an herculean task and will continue to be futile unless every stakeholders are charged with this responsility. Apart from the radical cleansing that the new administration needs to do, we also need to nurture new ideas and orientation among the young ones |

anonimi:I quite agree with you that the most systematic and scientific leader Nigeria has ever had remains Jonathan but his short coming was his lack of focus and seriousness and outright under rating of the seriousness of the corruption menace which is what Buhari is hopefully bringing to the table. |

ThisMeansWAR:Indeed, how can a serious nation/society pay a graduate on Level 08 in the civil service N50,000 and expect him to work hard to be productive when those big belly loafers in the National Assembly are collecting N27 million for doing practically NOTHING ![]() We need to get serious as a nation, really!!! |
| Re: Fighting Corruption The Smart Way! by gsainttrinity(op): 10:52am On Jun 01, 2015 |
omoadeleye:The laws in Nigeria against such acts is not encouraging that's why we need a fundamental overhaul. |

gsainttrinity:Jonathan major PERSONAL problems were his communication skills and limited appreciation of the strength of his political associates who subsequently turned against him. Then there was the geo-political dynamics of Nigeria. As for corruption, the GREATER transparency and systemic reforms led to IMPROVEMENT as acknowledged by reputable organisations like Transparency International that gave us a better ranking of 38th unlike the last position we were under Obasanjo who is now APC's navigator and Buhari's adviser. That says a lot about we Nigerians as 200 million mumus, don't you think ![]() Nigeria Records Improvement, Ranked 39th on Corruption IndexIt is remarkable that Obasanjo was a Board member of the same Transparency International ![]() |
| Re: Fighting Corruption The Smart Way! by gsainttrinity(op): 11:06am On Jun 01, 2015 |
anonimi:Honestly I share in your views that we are country of millions of mumu. And I personally find that the most and biggest drew back to development and change in this country is the people themselves who wants the change, quite ironic. The youth especially are a bunch of follow-follow, with selfish motivations. The most we can do is hope for the best. |

gsainttrinity:Just to buttress what I said about Jonathan's systematic reforms and greater openness in government being much better, please see below news report from 2004 after over four years of Obasanjo's paparazzi "fight" against corruption => NIGERIA: Why Obasanjo's war on corruption is falteringNo doubt Obasanjo is a better communicator with the 200 mumus of his fellow citizens given the continuing high regard in which he is held by quite a substantial part of the population. www.nairaland.com/attachments/2467944_obasanjotransparencyrating2004_jpegf577f3dadf99ddddb409ec370bb5548d |

corruption in this country didn't start in the past 6years. Infact Babangida started it all. Obj was a very corrupt ruler. Tinibu and u can go on. But lets look at the grass root of it all because it has become a system where everyone pass through. After his 6years studying law my friend told me that he'll get his own share of the National cake before he'll talk of anything, in other word if he see's any opportunity he wont hesitate to make use of it. Sure after all we pass through in school (high institution) sorting WAEC, JAMB then the school test. We go trough all sorts of sorting, call it sorting but it's just a baptismal name. Because it's bribery. Buying text books and handnuts, sorting even cause reps. Then sorting to serve our country (NYSC) and even sorting to get a job. My dear corruption is in everyones system so if it must be wipe out lets get it right. Our institutions must be clean. The mind set of our youths must not be build on corruption... Let me stop here. |
