Bro, age is not and will never be a barrier to the V.O just present a well written statement og purpose, and be upright. That should do.

Thank you very much. If age is a barrier why won't CIC list it among reasons for denial? If a school can grant you admission at any old you are what's the embassy problem with that? Na them wan teach you?
As long long as your case is credible enough forget it; you'll get the visa.

good youre a proof.
but when i also talk im talking from recent studies though its nothing affirmative.
we've seen here that what worked easiily for people in previous parts of this thread have seem futile when its done now.
its fair to say its more difficult now.

I'm almost 30. I got my TRV and study permit for an undergraduate course. When I told you I'm a proof of this what did you think I was saying?

Bro, i understand you perfectly.
but it would be nice if you can spare time to go through a whole lot of cases on previous pages and try to pin point where a perfectly looked app got it wromg
its normal when you have your trv previously to think age is not an issue, but i bet you dont know what we new applicants go through.
you only come here once in a while and post based on what worked when you were also on the hotseat.

i have a loaddown of your app from your first app to the second when God came through, i can tell u there are numerous cases of an app even more perfectly poised that got bounced back.

@oga siga, tnuola, hayqinshq, darefestus nd all, I am back again o, pls help me review this, i have to apply latest June 5 cos am resuming august 10. So I have substituted my dad with my aunt as Sponsor 1, she's got abt 22M in her acct which is over sufficient. But Sponsor 2, my uncle who I have decided to retain in this second app has a balance of abt 500k now as opposed to the 2.1M he had the first time. So do u think I should still use him bcs of consistency sake or I should just use only my aunt in which case I would have changed sponsors completely. Remember my 1st app was refused for insufficient funds only. Thanks!

Use your aunty as your sole sponsor. N22M is enough money to sponsor you.

LOL. I nor fit go back go check my brother. But if you must know I just don't come here once in a while. I check in frequently. I used to think age was a problem but after my first app was refused I contacted an immigration lawyer in Toronto. He's a Nigerian and he handled the case of two Nigerian girls (students) who were deported from Canada. I specifically asked him the question and he said NO. If you want proof of that conversation I can make effect to that. Secondly, when I landed here and checked in at my school's international office I asked them and they also told me age is not a barrier. That was long before I befriended the Congolese I told you about.

okay bro
its the responsibility of the reader to make a decision. He/She must have read from different angles.
But if i were a consultant like maple or others, i would advise someone in that sort of condition the best possible way i can. Anything is possible but we are only trying to increase our chances.

in other news, was that your first UG or second....what were ur previous qualifications

My former Application

I did not submit the Company's SOA, The Company transferred the money to my personal account as a sign of commitment to my study project. The company just submitted a board resolution of how it intends to sponsor one of its directors who will return and take full responsibilities.

The company addressed a paper on their letter head that they have pushed the huge amount to me for the study project that upon getting to the country (Canada), that they will push the remaining, Similarly, as a director in the company, I have been receiving a certain decent allowance monthly, and the company said that allowance will continue when I get to Canada.

I attached all the letters regarding all of that.

Am between 25-30, I M SINGLE WITH NO PERSONAL PROPERTIES.
I have a B.Eng in Elect/Elect Engineering and I have done training in Oil & Gas related courses here in Nigeria.

Bachelor of Applied Technology, Petroleum Engineering Technology at the SAIT Polytechnic, Calagry, Alberta, Canada.

The company is currently into geo-technical services with expertise in deep foundation works and with a goal of expanding to other branches of engineering i.e- providing engineering and technical services to oil and gas companies.

You're a graduate of FUNAAB & your brother's company is Jite Projekts, am I correct? I think I know you.

You have to understand a NLD's position before you make authoritative comments.

Did I mention that I was working with the company on a full time basis??

Do u know if I have been doing similar jobs related for my intended course of study and I need the program so as to expand the company in that direction

U should always understand a NLD's position before making authoritative, and if you don't, u simply ask.

We are here to learn, Thank you.

Morning All..
Pls I have a question...What are the chances of someone who wants to go for his PGD/Masters in Engineering but his WAEC result is two sittings? His undergrad is Engineering.. I heard it's a major no-no which I raised to him but the person won't just accept..Also, IF the person is granted admission, does CIC have anything to do with the result? I mean WAEC result.. What are his chances of getting a TRV..Pls bear in mind that the person has been to the US three times last year inclusive..
Thank you..

I think it will be very unfair if I don't share this testimony here too. I was a member here for close to a year. I got admit with Lakehead University to study a master's degree but was denied the visa twice. One in 2013 and another one in 2014. But just this morning I got my study visa to the US. One of the words that kept my hope alive is a regular quote here : if it's in our hearts God will some day put it in our hands.

I hope I did encourage someone

Hey for those studying in Canada I wanted to ask you something. I have a sister studying in the UK and she told me that when she did her Undergrad her bank (Barclays) offered her educational funding of up to £3,000 as an international student, do Canadian banks offer the same packages to international students there?

Amefrica and everyone else studying in Canada....

the schools over there don't worry about your age , infact u can be 35 and apply for admission u will still get admitted. The problem here is the embassy , for instance a 35 year old going for a diploma course will be denied almost immediately his application gets to their desk. They assume from 25yrs and above most Nigerians have attained Bsc and so seeing an applicant above 25 going for a diploma course more or less appears to be seen as an act of desperation to leave the country , so the applicant gets denied. There are so many cases in this forum.
