The Peoples Democratic Party has repeatedly boasted that it would form a buoyant opposition but with one of its prominent members sleeping on duty, the party might struggle to retake power.
At a retreat for elected PDP National Assembly members in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, themed “The Role of Opposition in Facilitating Development and Good Governance”, Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers barely partook as he slept off on duty.

it still baffles me how sentiment can make people of rivers vote for a man that brought the education to a halt for one year ! before he was appointed as minister for education we estate developers with fmbn proposed a scheme for teachers (HATS) housing for all teachers scheme. The plan was to built 5000 units of bungalows in all 36 states of the federation. The developers were about going to site when wike came on board as scattered the whole process. He asked for re-accredition, fast forward 3years and the scheme is almost as good as dead. i pity rivers state

The truth is, there was no election in rivers state. What happened was mama peace and her husband wanted to control rivers resources. So, the Inec REC, Wike and the police connived and falsified results. Posterity will never forgive them.

Continue your sleep jare, if you like sleep for the next four years, wike you can also introduce the sleeping madness to the whole of River state, ko kan aye.
