Barely three days after his second term inauguration as the Governor of Imo State, Owelle-Rochas Okorocha Oon has abandoned governance for politics. Okorocha who has never hidden his desire to become Nigeria's President at any cost possible was in Sokoto few days ago to inspect projects done by the former Governor of the State, Aliyu Wamakko and also "receive royal blessings" from the Sultan of Sokoto, Saad Abubakar III.
Governor Okorocha insists that he has cut a deal with President Muhammadu Buhari to handover power to him come 2019, when the President would have served out his first term in office. The Governor had even gone ahead to christen Buhari, Okechukwu, an Igbo name which means; "A share from God". In explaining his reason for choosing such a name for the President, Chief Okorocha says; "God has given Buhari power so that the turn of the Igbo's and of course, Rochas Okorocha to occupy that seat will be closer. And it has come to pass." However, the President and his team seems not to be aware of any power deal or any one term agreement.
Apart from the visit to Sokoto, the Imo State Governor is also said to have been deeply involved in some high level negotiations with his Northern friends and political associates to immediately kick start his presidential campaign. A source close to the Governor confided in Yours Sincerely; "Owelle is eminently qualified for the office of the President. He is actually a presidential material, he only descended to salvage Imo State from decay. He has achieved that, and nothing will be left to chance, in pushing for the nation's number one job come 2019. The earlier the better, so if you say he has begun some subterranean moves, you may be right. While it is Governor Okorocha's inalienable right to contest for the highest office in the land, our Governor must be advised to sit down and deliver on his electioneering promises, and not be distracted by such ambition as there is still ample time to pursue that goal. http://chrisomole..com/

I already knew Okorocha was going for the presidency in 2019. I hope he wins though, I will vote for him o. Finally Igbo president can rule us. I think people from other regions will support him. Hopefully Igbos wont seccede before then . We love you guys just look beyond the hatred and see positivity. There are lots of people who love you guys like me and I know am not the only one who does.
