It's true you can make Money selling data It's true it's legal it's true you want to make money it's etc. But someone came here looking for a candid advice or suggestion to know if to venture into such business or not BUT all you are after is making Money into your own account. Am equally a web developer (not your "Just Another Web developer" ) and also wants to make Money but then, everything isn't all about MONEY. Don't be the kind of web designer / developer who has over 30 websites in his/her portfolio with almost all of them expired/inactive. Sorry if you feel offended BUT that's just a stupid bitter truth. Data business is very Legit Data Business is Highly Profitable Data Business requires very low start-up capital BUT what are the challenges you will be facing ? The truth is that most marketers (don't want to say ALL of THEM) focus on telling you the PROs and a little (or none) of the CONs. People who have attended seminars/workshops and people who have bought Manuals (promising them all they want to hear) will attest to what am saying. Let me not talk too much BUT below are issues you are going to face. 1. Getting Customers (the niche is already saturated) 2. A lot of people are already into it hence you need to successfully do something most people aren't already doing to break even. 3. The Network Providers (MTN, Airtel, Glo, etc) are also your competitors with a clear advantage 4. Even the Banks are equally your competitors with a clear advantage 5. The profit margin keeps dwindling - Late last year, MTN adjusted the cost of SME data and have equally adjusted the cost of data itself. It all works to their advantage and to Resellers (YOU and all others reselling DATA) disadvantage . 6. etc NB: Please be weary of those trying to stir your money into their pockets . Best of Lucks |

kason: Hello Kason, I don't mean to shoot you down but you have got this backward. Your post is 'me-focused'. You are chasing money here and that's what your problem will be if you ever launch this. Money chasing doesn't work. It flat out doesn't. What you should be asking/thinking is how to solve problems people have with buying data bundle online. Any business will be lucrative if it provides a NEED for people. Solve a problem and money will follow. Look for gaps and try to fill those gaps. Forget about lucrativeness. Making money should be the last thing you are thinking about. If you go fishing you don't take your best food (unless it's worms) as a bait. Fishes don't care about your best food. They want worms.
