ROSSIKE:I beg to disagree a little. They are obviously allies but looking at the aftermath of countries they have helped, you can't but accept that the french are better off. Ivory Coast, Central African Republic, Sudan, Mali are examples of countries with majorly French interventions. Everyone knows all the countries USA has intervened and how "well" they have fared after. |

jomoh:French armies do seem to have better results in Africa than the US in the Middle East but it comes as a high price. Many Francophone countries in Africa are not truly independent- or as independent as some other African countries. France has a huge say in who they elect and the policies they employ. If the USA does help with Boko Haram, I hope it doesn't lead to the destruction of Nigeria and that our country doesn't become lap dogs to the US like some francophone countries ![]() |

I am pretty sure that the U.S. involvement in this will only be tactical and providing intelligence or at most targeted air strikes assisting the efforts of the existing ground troops. Nigeria and neighboring countries have the capability to ELIMINATE Boko Haram. If the Buhari administration is really serious about eliminating the Boko Haram threat then they need to tackle head strong all the financers and the men behind the scenes who are not necessarily just based in Borno. In addition, there needs to be a concerted effort to assist the people of Borno. It takes a lot to drive a Nigerian to commit such acts of atrocity and violence as displayed by Boko Haram. We should help Borno state develop economically, improve their educational standards, health facilities etc with the goal of bringing it at par with the rest of the nation. Once you take away the recruitment base of terrorists, you in a way decimate them from the ground up. (Btw, To all the haters lashing out at USA .... suck it ) |

America does not help any country solve their problem history has shown that. they wanted to create a problem for us, before the election but failed, now they want to come in form of help... Truth be told, we can defeat BH without their help. Let us just put our house in order. God bless Nigeria |

Just when I was considering mincing my words with the dura born, he proves to be more brainless and dumb as ever! Wtf! We have been sold on the selfish quest for power by nothern Mongul's. The Americans have collaborated with the apc to knock off GEJ now they are being rewarded with war. Only a naive citizen wouldn't know America survives on wars and chaos to stay relevant on the political and global atmosphere. Because gej refused to be a puppet, they repackaged the brainless coupist as a messiah through the help of obama's media team who worked for the dura lord tirelessly. Those well grounded in international relations and politics knows this is no other than the sealing and confirmation of AFRICOM on the Nigerian soil! A feet the USA has struggled to attain fully in Nigeria, has been granted to them for a "pot of porridge". The Nigerian people have be sold to the imperialist afresh! All progress we have made in breaking away has gone down the drain because some sick old man wants to rule by all means! The future is bleak! |

bukster:You're very correct with your assertions. The second paragraph is the reason why I detest the US help. The fact that I said I prefer French does not mean I want them. I'll prefer we deal with our problem ourselves. I see all this Bokoharam, ISIL as a modern means of enslaving weak countries and countries with high potentials of threatening the western domination. Nigeria must learn to depend on ourself alone and rise amidst all this trials. |

Now the US government can trust our administration. This is a sign of good things to come. Buhari just need to be wise in dealing with these americans. Everything they do is all about their interests. Buhari must put the interests of Nigeria before any decision with these people. |

jomoh:consistently in as much as the French has achieved initial success as u expanded above.which have been overturned with silent losses in both CAR and Mali. the French are a pure definition of leeches .they come with all hands open, they stick and they refuse to go that is the typical French mentality..the US may be hypocritics but the French are leeches.if ur looking for a capable European ally.Germany comes tops followed by Poland,Belarus Ukraine.then the Russians and the Chinese who still have their own baggage but can deliver. I don't even want to start talking about the US exceptional hypocrisy |

The US has not been able to defeat the Taliban or Islamic State (IS). The ability of US to fight insurgents is over hyped. Nigeria should be weary of US who refused to sell weapons to Nigeria to fight Boko Haram. |

Cannonleo:You are dead right with your post. So I will still maintain like I later said in one of my posts that all of them are slave drivers. Its all a new form of slavery. The give you trouble and offer to help, only to become parasites(slave masters). I believe we can handle our problems on our own without being reliant on them. They should keep their help. |
