Peoples Democratic Party has established itself as a very vibrant opposition party in the senate under a majority All Progressives Congress rule following the emergence of Senator Ike Ekweremadu and Senator David Mark as Deputy Senate President and Majority Leader respectively. According to our sources, this was as a result of the power sharing deal which led to the emergence of PDP-Supported Dr. Bukola Saraki as Senate President for the 8th Assembly.

According to an unnamed PDP senator from Anambra State, the party capitalized on the current crisis in the APC noting that PDP was on the path of resurgence. He added that Bukola Saraki was advised to defect back to the Peoples Democratic Party as part of conditions for PDP’s support for him, but he declined. His refusal however did not stop them from supporting him. A source also revealed that it was Senator Godswill Akpabio, former Akwa Ibom Governor who mulled the idea of producing Ekweremadu as deputy senate president in exchange for PDP senators' alliance with Saraki.

PDP is just the game.

I guess d OP doesn't no d meaning of majority leader. David Mark wasn't nominated as majority leader, dat position is meant for the ruling party, mayb he wuld get minority leader. He was only accorded d privilege 2 b sworn in alone as a former president of d senate. Shalom!

A nice game played by the PDP there if you ask me. The APC lawmakers should know better than allow PDP play a fast one on them.
