Here are 10 things you should know about Nigeria's
new senate President:
1. He was born in 19 December 1962.

2. He's from Kwara state.

3. Saraki is the son of former senator and
acclaimed Kwara Godfather, Late Olusola
Saraki.

4. He started his political career as Special
Assistant to President Olusegun Obasanjo on
Budget in 2000

5. Saraki served as Kwara Governor from 29 May
2003 – 29 May 2011.

6. He was a member of the Peoples Democratic
Party, PDP until December 2013 when he
defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

7. The Nigerian Governors Forum, NGF was one
of his achievements as governor.

8. Saraki is a proponent for Open NASS; a new
drive aimed at making national assembly
budget/expenditure public.

9. His election as Senate President automatically
makes him number 3 citizen of Nigeria.

10. Saraki's victory may be the breaking point for
APC as he was not his party's endorsed candidate

Saraki was the first to work out from the PDP congress in 2013 which lead to the formation of the "new pdp" before it later merge with ACN to form APC

Mark is the senate leader now ( Minority Leader)

He went against his Dad to produce Abdulfatah Ahmed as Gov. Instead of gbemisola his sister dat lead to their fight b4 his dad passed on.

So this new oga is superior to him??
