2.-(1) On the first sitting of a new Senate, pursuant to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senators-elect shall assemble at the time and place so appointed.



And Ahmed lawan a ranking member of the 8th Assembly whom have been at the house for years decides to honour President(maybe because he can influence the election for him) and sideline the laid down law he was voted in to honour, sustain, and improve


It's high time our laws be given the top priority

If Ahmed Lawan really wanted to be Senate President and he had 51 APC members on his side, what stopped him from showing up and convincing four PDP members to join his camp

I'm sure he didn't reach out enough. These politicians whether APC or PDP are all moved by the emotion of greed. He isn't a politician. He has 51 members on his side yet couldn't find 4 greedy PDP members. Well congrats to Saraki, let's move the nation forward.

Let's put it this way ,he called for a meeting to distract senators from the house so Saraki can have the floor yet again he never attended the meeting and ends up proclaiming support for the SP as against party politics ,something people don't understand about the legislative arm is that, it is the bedrock for the policies a party stands for that is if any of the parties have in the part of the country

Can't tell sha, but buhari action(I Belong To Everybody And I Belong To Nobody) toward NA leadership might hurt him tomorrow, Saraki emergence as senate president is a big plus for him to achieve his dream of becoming nigeria president. I won't be surprise if senator Bukola saraki contest under PDP for NIGERIA PRESIDENT against Buhari by 2019 and what happen today might repeat itself. Where south south - south east - north central and part of south west will vote massively for Bukola saraki against Buhari as president of nigeria.

Judge people by their actions not chit chat.

The senate is filled with drug barons, 419ers , crooks that run banks like sgs down . And you are here telling me all these criminals were dumb enough not to know the p. And some people will start trooping into chamber and no security will call them.

It's all a game and you silly Nigerians are the no 1 loser.

I told myself if Gej won I will leave this shithole, in 10mins d senate passed over 40 bills that affect us,now the same criminals are back inaction. Frankly speaking . I give up.

Ahmed lawan and his supporters were careless, giving saraki a free ride in the election, rather than show up where and when it matters...

They were busy shouting on the pages of news paper and going to see PMB who is not a senator elect, I wonder if they expected PMB to rig the election for them at the international center...SMH
