There is nothing wrong with someone having a preference, even in a Family, preferential treatment is inevitable and has to be managed by the Parents, so what did he do wrong by endorsing Him. It would have been a different case if He is now trying to force him on them even after the election. Gbajabiamila is the perfect man for the job having led the opposition effectively for all these years, but at the same time, Nigeria is bigger than anybody's interest, so stop making it feel as if their is any bad thing in what happened so far.

David Mark is not the senate leader. Go find out again, he was inaugurated alone as a sign of respect being a former senate president. He will be the minority leader anyway.

David Mark is not the Senate leader. No other position has been filled apart from senate presidency and the deputy. All other positions are not electable. The parties will just send the list of their choice to the Senate president to announce in plenary and that Is all.

Dogara had no hidden agenda..... Saraki's emergrnce was so bad, they rushed it all and to make matters worse he allowed and agreed with PDP to have the Dputy Senate Speaker spot at the expense of his party.

I just hope that the payback from Tinubu wont send Saraki and Dongoyaro to Kirikiri. Ask Bode George and he will tell you that he (Bode George) fears Tinubu more than he fears God. Remember that Saraki has a long list of different cases with the EFCC, if Tinubu convinces or confuses Buhari to bring up the stealing, sorry corruption (copyright ex-president Jonathan) cases pending against Saraki, then Saraki will spend more time in Kirikiri than Bode Geroge remember that Jim Nwobodo that stole money not enough to buy a Peugeot (copyright ex-president Jonathan) got about 100 years imprisonment from Buhari in 1984.

The only thing that finished gbaja was that he associated with the wrong group at the right time , and by congratulating dogara openly he has shown everyone that he is now a man on his own,and that he isn't following the leadership of apc against dogara, in the next couple of weeks more reps and senators will come back into fold and stop following tinubu. Fayemi ,fashola,gbaja,saraki,atiku the list of ppl turning their backs to tinubu led apc executives keep piling up,soon buhari will have no choice but to distance himself from jagaban of lagos state .

See the broader picture my friend who knows what an unbraided ambition of tinubu may cause your party on the long run. But now that it is tamed it may mean smoothness for u guys. DSP may just be the little tradeoff that entrenches d young roots you guys have in power. And common, politics is a game of sportsmanship and survival but you guys are proving to be too emotional and it is not a good sign

On Wednesday, the new speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, presided over the House for its first sitting since its inauguration.

It was a day of calm after the rowdy, tension-soaked session on Tuesday when Dogara defeated the preferred candidate of the APC, Femi Gbajabiamila.

Speaker Dogara set up the Selection committee which is expected to appoint members into various committees of the House. He will head the committee.

Dogara also set up a committee to look into the welfare of members and a third committee to review the Standing Orders of the House.

Unlike the Senate where the losing team in Tuesday’s election said today that it will challenge the victory of Bukola Saraki as senate president; the case was different in the House of Representatives.

Femi Gbajabiamila, who contested and lost the speakership contest to Dogara, congratulated the speaker for the second time.

Gbajabiamila had shortly after the results were declared on Tuesday, walked up to Dogara, embraced and shook hands with him.

Once again on Wednesday, he stood up on the floor and specially recognised Dogara as the speaker by congratulating him again.

The House has been adjourned till June 23.
