I've never read Runaway Jury, but I've read most of his books..especially the recent ones. I think Pelican Brief is my favorite.

I read based on recommendations. Maybe I should start with Pelican Brief. I have it too. Is is lt captivating? I don't mind spoilers

Yes, it is! Very engaging. Two U.S. Supreme Court judges are assassinated and a law student writes a legal brief that suggests who ordered the assassination.

Turns out that the judges were killed because they had certain judicidal leanings regarding environmental law. The man that ordered their killing wanted to get rid of them & replace them with judges that would rule favorably when his case comes before the court.

The first J Grisham book I read was that one of two kids who went out for a smoke and met a lawyer who was on the verge of suicide. Boyd Boyette.

His client killed someone and buried him in his garage and couldn't be arrested because there was no body. The lawyer told the kids before he died and the killer started after the kids too.

Have you read it? Had a lot to do with Federal Marshalls and Witness Protection
