The first J Grisham book I read was that one of two kids who went out for a smoke and met a lawyer who was on the verge of suicide. Boyd Boyette.

His client killed someone and buried him in his garage and couldn't be arrested because there was no body. The lawyer told the kids before he died and the killer started after the kids too.

Have you read it? Had a lot to do with Federal Marshalls and Witness Protection

I don't trust directors with movie adaptations. Most times they just ruin it. Only an elect few have that calling.
