You really need to define the meaning and perspective of "freedom fighting" and "principle" here.

I must be getting something wrong. But when you say a "politician" fought for freedom, then you must mean for his party huh

And then comparing Tinubu with PMB, they sure are not in the same pedestal.

In the bid to gratify someones effort, please learn not to exaggerate !!

N.B: Before you rush to tackle me, i am not affiliated with any party.

Cheers
Kudos!

I put it to that you know nothing about TINUBU. Do you remember TINUBU in the Military era? He is not just like any politician. He is brave and fought consistently when all odds were against him. Tinubu no be today politician.

Remember, he is the brain and Architect behind the merger that eventually knock the then ruling party (PDP) out of power.

I guess Tinunbu won or have control of the party because Atiku candidate have to see for help outside their party to defeat Tinunbu candidate.
Which schools do you people attend these days? It's now rare to see comments in correct English or structure. It's a scary development.

Atiku's contribution to APC is insignificant. Infact after losing his presidential ticket, his suporters defected from APC to other party. This shows that he can never pose big challenge against Tinubu in making decision in the party.

Atiku dealt a master stroke.

However his influence can only benefit him as a Godfather like Tinubu.

Atiku is simply unelectable in Nigeria, not even if he wears a pink dress with a halo.

I want to officially welcome Tinubu to national politics. He should step up his game if he wants to remain relevance lest he loses his current position. This is not Lagos or SW politics where he was a demi God whose decisions were not challenged by anyone. In national politics, you have to do away with greediness and sometimes let s me things take a natural course or influence subtly.
Please get your facts right as Tinubu is the major reason Jonathan lost to Buhari, I know many people know the truth but they are too ashame to say it; Tinubu brought together the winning team almost from scratch, this is what Atiku can never do, likewise Jonathan. Tinubu aided Jonathan to win his first election but went with Buhari because Jonathan couldn't deliver the dividend of democracy to the masses; Tinubu is very comfortable with what he have but he wants Nigeria to be better than it is today while others just want to flea's the masses.

With all due respect, where u in Nigeria during NADECO era? If yes, then u should know the gallant role TINUBU played and if no, I humbly suggest u research it.

Also, u will agree with me that any Government in power need an opposition to keep them in check. Imagine Tinubu joining PDP then! Am not saying the man is a saint, my simple message is that, he just like PMB decided to be in opposition base on their believe that PDP is a no go area and that to me earn them my respect.

Thank u!
Though I'm not a fan of Tinubu, I honestly don't like him.
But Politically I do respect him with this point of urs abt him and some others!

Atiku is a political feather weight, he can't even come 2nd in APC primary election, he can only have a chance of defeating tinubu if he teams up with PDP, as long as its within the apc or have to do with soliciting for votes, tinubu will always take him to the cleaners. And can someone tell that man that he his unelectable ?!
Winning doesn't have one formula.

What matters is that you won eventually no matter what formula you applied.

Atiku may not be marketable but he knows how to use what he has to get what he wants.
APC was able to defeat PDP cos they aligned with the other opposition parties and that is politics.

So in this regard Atiku is a better politician than tinubu.

Scores :Atiku 3 tinubu 1

In the bid to belittle someone's effort, please learn not to downplay. Both GMB & Asiwaju hav played prominent roles at different times in d history of our nation. While GMB played a prominent role in rescuing Nigeria from d clutches of profligate politicians of d NPN, d Asiwaju was a leading light in rescuing us frm d military & in d struggle 4 democracy. When d history of nigeria is written, d name of both men will be written in gold. Asiwaju, a patriot & frontline member of NADECO played a prominent role in d struggle 4 democracy in Nigeria. Even in dis dispensation he has contributed immensely towards deepening our democracy & breaking d evil strangle-hold dat d so-called largest party in africa, d dysfunctional PDP had on our nation. d nation owes him tons of gratitude.

How has he helped the nation and the suffering Lagosians. Wise up o its not a time to take sides
ramdris:
All these yeye journalists speculating nonsense! They are just trying so hard to destroy the party by coming up with unverifiable situations in a peaceful party.

Tinubu name must have been mentioned more than Jesus and Muhammed combined since PMB took over. Tinubu this, Tinubu that; all I am beginning to see is that some pple are hell bent in bringing down someone who has truly made a lot of sacrifice over years to get us to where we are alongside others of like minds.

Not everything that happens is link to Tinubu or Atiku. This has to stop. Just because these men played a prominent role in the merger process that produced PMB does not mean we should attribute everything that happen in APC to them.

Love him or hate him, Tinubu will always be remembered as a freedom fighter and a man of principle and ideology just like PMB. They are the only two prominent politicians who has remain in opposition for several years and that shows commitment and bravery.

Hmm... Your assertion is wrong.
The success of APC can not be attributed to Tinubu alone as many people believe. Atiku is also an influential factor from the North.
I hope you also know that Tinubu is not more electable than Atiku. Tinubus intention was to go in for the vp slot. His sole ambition has always been to attain the presidency but he can't succeed.

TINUBU is wicked and selfish!!

Why did he give BUHARI Osibanjo (a non entity) as his VP instead of FASHOLA?? GREED!!

Why did he not let BUHARI choose his prefered candidate from the SW instead of forcing Osibanjo on him like that.

If I were BUHARI i will punish TINUBU seriously for that singular act of his.

TINUBU cannot do anything in the interest of Nigeria. Only for his own personal interest. Nigeria do not need such a person.

Even bible said it that if you humble yourself you will be exalted.

TINUBU exalted himself before the election by calling the shot for BUHARI. Buhari took it because he was desperate to become president and could have done anything, even dancing Unclad if that was what TINUBU wanted.

Now, power has changed hand. President Buhari cannot be a boi to anyone. When he is not GEJ. smiley

IF TINUBU does not take things easy "O ma teh". "Buhari ma fo yeye e".

Be careful Oga TINUBU

Smh.

At the second bolded statement. It's a big lie. What dividends of democracy are you talking about ? Tinubu is only interested in himself.
Now think of it this way. If Tinubu was so influential, why didn't he help Ribadu, his own party member to win the presidential. Why help Gej who is in an opposing party. The fact that Tinubu helped Gej is an indictment on Tinubu's character. You've just proved to us that Tinubu is a person of no integrity.
Why should he trust Gej better to deliver the dividends of democracy instead of Ribadu.
