I think you should let us rest a little bit about Tinubu and Atiku. Before you know it now, you will see both of them eating together. That is why I'm sorry for people who are ready to die because of politicians. POLITICIANS AND PROSTITUTE ARE THE SAME.
All I know is that Tinubu is more of a politician than Atiku. Tinubu has principle and he has been in opposition for long even when everybody is moving to PDP, he remain steadfast in opposition. Unlike Atiku who is moving from here and there. Atiku wants to become president at all cost. When OBJ comes back, Atiku will be silent because OBJ has his medicine.
Tinubu has been in politics far more than Atiku. If not because of Atiku behaviour, OBJ would have made him president but he cannot command respect. Anyway Na dem sabi. I wan drink Gaari and KULIKULI first.

In the bid to belittle someone's effort, please learn not to downplay. Both GMB & Asiwaju hav played prominent roles at different times in d history of our nation. While GMB played a prominent role in rescuing Nigeria from d clutches of profligate politicians of d NPN, d Asiwaju was a leading light in rescuing us frm d military & in d struggle 4 democracy. When d history of nigeria is written, d name of both men will be written in gold. Asiwaju, a patriot & frontline member of NADECO played a prominent role in d struggle 4 democracy in Nigeria. Even in dis dispensation he has contributed immensely towards deepening our democracy & breaking d evil strangle-hold dat d so-called largest party in africa, d dysfunctional PDP had on our nation. d nation owes him tons of gratitude.
Thanks man, most people's comments show they have a relatively shallow knowledge of our history as a nation.

Even if an individual was not born at the time, reading and research does help.

ATIKU that cannot win election in his ward.Just watch as all of them will be begging Tinubu very soon. BUHARI knows what Tinubu did for him to be president so he cannot joke with him. Lets forget sentiment. If not for Tinubu, Buhari would not have picked the candidacy for APC. Did you forget that Buhari and Atiku contested for the post.
Atiku is just trying to be relevant and maybe trying to pay Tinubu back because Tinubu choose Buhari and not him.
16 years of PDP Atiku never contested for president of Nigeria. Even Clueless Jonathan was prefered to him. Let Atiku contest and see how many votes he will get.

You really need to define the meaning and perspective of "freedom fighting" and "principle" here.

I must be getting something wrong. But when you say a "politician" fought for freedom, then you must mean for his party huh

And then comparing Tinubu with PMB, they sure are not in the same pedestal.

In the bid to gratify someones effort, please learn not to exaggerate !!

N.B: Before you rush to tackle me, i am not affiliated with any party.

Cheers

I put it to that you know nothing about TINUBU. Do you remember TINUBU in the Military era? He is not just like any politician. He is brave and fought consistently when all odds were against him. Tinubu no be today politician.

Remember, he is the brain and Architect behind the merger that eventually knock the then ruling party (PDP) out of power.
For ur information ,n a lot of ppl dont know this ,pat
utomi is the brain behind the merger that outsted the pdp.pat utomi did the whole brain work, research n study behind the formation of the apc,but because he dint have the political strenght wealth n ruggedity he presented the blueprint to tinubu .
Like i Said before a lot of ppl donot know this .i was only privy to the knowlegde cos am an inside man.

I can relate to your point. He fought for freedom for his party, not for Nigeria. A politician fighting against political annihilation is not a freedom fighter. He is simply pursuing party and personal interest.

We cannot conclude that because one remained an oppostion, then he has principles, that will be gross exaggeration.

I am not trying to negate what you said, but let us choose our words carefully and not exaggerate

Come off your high horse bro, a politician fighting against political annihilation and ensuring there is a Vibrant alternative platform is a freedom fighter in my opinion. In all African politics, attempts are made to annihilate the opposition to create a Pseudo one party state, and the voice of the people is stifled, since there is no "bark and bite"alternative platform that people can use to punish non performance.

Peter Obi , APGA ran back to PDP that stole his mandate, Segun Mimiko , a face of Labour party ran back to PDP that stole his mandate. Abubakar Atiku, AC has been having back and forth to PDP, something is wrong with his principles. Orji uzor Kalu, PPA, ran back to PDP e.t.c

If Tinubu had moved to PDP,he would have been hailed, and deployed as a field marshall.

No one has his political sagacity, hence why he always will remain as the focus of attack by PDP. To bring a house down you focus on attacking the pillars.

Lovely right up, all they are trying to so is destroy APC becauy what most people don't understand is that the moment Tinubu leaves APC, then APC is finished.
So u think Tinubu leaves then he would come back to National politicshuh Look the only reason Y he came to the national mainstreamn was just hix alliance with the north, so remove the north & he is dead nationally & he goes back to his hole (regional politics where he is lord xcluding Ekiti & Ondo...No Southerner can become nationally accepted as PREDSIDENT without the NORTHERN cabals/votes

National Population census is nex year...mark thix space...the NORTH is ONLY just beginning cos by the time they would be through with their own counting, the SOUTH (SS,SE,SW) will cry tearz of blooooood

In 2007, presidential elections, Atiku as AC presidential candidate only won in a state. guess where huh??

LAGOS STATE.
What happened to his adamawa state??

What makes the apc thick today is destruction of the pdp n not really the formation of the apc.
N atiku played a Major role in that.Apc wud be reduced to nothing without the pdp elements in the apc.
The way things are going two things are likely to happen to the apc.
1;In the future tinubu wud become irrelivant.
2; The apc wud be destroyed n several blocks wud emerge leading to the formation of New parties.

Not true as its the other way round; we may soon have another party coming out of PDP in less than 2 years from now which will be the end of PDP; PDP Goff with what they did with Saraki and the loyal APC members might just finish off the remnants of PDP which they wanted to be an opposition but PDP wasted it by placing politricks which have opened a new front that won't be healthy for the almost dead PDP.

Tinubu name must have been mentioned more than Jesus and Muhammed combined since PMB took over. Tinubu this, Tinubu that; all I am beginning to see is that some pple are hell bent in bringing down someone who has truly made a lot of sacrifice over years to get us to where we are alongside others of like minds.

Not everything that happens is link to Tinubu or Atiku. This has to stop. Just because these men played a prominent role in the merger process that produced PMB does not mean we should attribute everything that happen in APC to them.

Love him or hate him, Tinubu will always be remembered as a freedom fighter and a man of principle and ideology just like PMB. They are the only two prominent politicians who has remain in opposition for several years and that shows commitment and bravery.
Hope you are ąware that the article was published by Punch, and Punch is owned by Tinubu?

Atiku, another name for Judas, should be schemed out totally. he is no good for Nigeria and so for any party.

he and obj and all politicians of that era should be schemed out of power. And if they insist on letting us move forward, they should be secretly eliminated.

Tinubu is a freedom fighter because he was a major actor whose actively participation in liberating and emancipating the nigeria masses from the stranggle hold and fetters of pdp cannot be under emphasised.

Tinubu as you said remains in opposition because he is very comfortable in it and has a state structure like lagos in his pocket,he knows that he will be powerless if he happens to be in the ruling party moreover he is using his party for business purposes negotiating and garnering votes in exchange for oil blocks with the ruling party..save me those praises..he is just a normal business and greedy man

I just love Tinubu, he is a real born politician. Reminds one of the late Obafemi Awolowo. He will surely teach Atiku & his rebel gang a bitter lesson in the chess game of Politics pretty soon.

Just watching in 4D!

[quote author=sokera post=34720738]Tinubu and Atiku will never be president of this country no matter what , especially the desperate Atiku he is a bastard not a true leader he will never president in this country.

Same was said about GMB. If he forms nAPC and aligns himself with APGA and PDP, you may see wonders. Political whores 99% of our politicians.
