Ohanaeze Ndigbo youths have urged President Muhammadu Buhari to complete Enugu International Airport, the second Niger Bridge and rehabilitate dilapidated federal roads in the South East zone. The youths also urged the President to appoint a former governor of Abia State, Mr. Ogbonnaya Onu as secretary to the government of the federation, SGF, ex-governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi as his Chief of Staff and Dr Chris Ngige as the Minister of Health. The group said the appeal for the appointment of these three men was based on the fact that they are patriots capable of helping Buhari achieve his visions for the nation.
National President of the group Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro made the appeal while speaking in Aba over the weekend. They also called on Buhari to implement the recommendations of the National Conference, including the creation of an additional state in the South East, to make it at par with others. “We are appealing to President Muhammadu Buhari to complete Enugu International Airport to make it a true international airport which can compare with others across the globe. “We also want him to complete the second Niger Bridge, rehabilitate federal roads in the South East zone and implement the decisions of the confab, particularly the creation of additional state in the South East,” Isiguzoro said.
