THE police in Lagos State have arrested a 70- year-old school proprietor for allegedly defiling an eight-year-old pupil of his school. The proprietor was, a few days ago, arrested by policemen from Igbogbo divisional police station, Ikorodu and had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department in Panti, Yaba. The suspect had reportedly asked the girl to go and clean his office after the school's closing time. The victims was said to be sweeping the proprietor's office when the suspect allegedlly forcefully had carnal of her. An aunt of the victim, who reported the matter to the police, disclosed that the girl and her mates were on their way home when the proprietor stopped them and asked the girl to go and clean his office. The aunt also added that her mates, after waiting for some time, decided to check her in the proprietor's office, only to see her under the man. The aunt said: “immediately her friends saw what the proprietor was doing to her, the man ran out of his office. "We took her to a private hospital where it was confirmed she was defiled."
