Note: Please pronounce the words with the right stress. Stress is the key to speaking english. The upper case words shows the stressed part. The stressed part will be longer and louder. You can google the sounds of the words. Please make sure you don't pronounce them until you hear their sounds if you don't know them. It will help your vocabulary.

1. Leptosome {pronounced LEP-tuh-som} - A person with a slender, thin or frail body.

2. Lunula {LOO-nyou-luh} - The half moon shape at the base of the nail.

3. Ferrule {FER-rool}- the metallic part of a pencil where the eraser seats. It is also found in paint brush.

4. Tittle - {TIT-l} - The tiny dot over some letters in the alphabet

5. Phosphene {FOS-feen} - The light flashes you see when you close or cover your eyes with your palm. *note that the FOS is like force

The pictures are in respect to the number of each word.

OP post more. I like these type of threads.

The whiteman created a word for almost everything and things they newly discover don't take long before getting named. That's one problem indigenious african languages face; not enough vocabulary to cover inventions past colonial times.
