The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has reportedly arrested former Imo state governor, Ikedi Ohakim. He was arrested by EFCC officials at his Asokoro home Abuja this morning at about 10.05am, according to a report by Premium Times. He was picked up after failing to honor an EFCC invitation yesterday June 17th. He is being interrogated over some properties traced to him.

ok,they will soon release him for lack of evidence.Why not get all your evidences before the arrest to nail him finally. Criminals will keep using loopholes in our laws to get bail when evidences are not substantive enough.

I'm sorry about the way I used those words on you - I was rather sad that any attempt to probe corrupt ex-govnors are always interpreted to mean attack on the Igbos that's how many Igbos encourage crimes, and give hardworking Igbos bad image in Nigeria and by extension the world.

We must all come together to eliminate corruption because poverty, thuggery and joblessness have no tribes, and it's our common enemy. Politicians did a lot of rubbish under GEJ becos he seemed gentle and weak.

All ex-governors who have racketeering tendencies must be probed, Ohakim inclusive.
