You don't understand the working of the civil service and how it relates with government. An SS1 student knows that permanence is of the characteristics of the civil service. [s]They formulate policies whereas a minister who has an imput in the policies get sacked. During the reshuffling of cabinet, an engineer can be made Minister of Culture and Tourism, he needs the directive of the Permanent Secretary and members of staff in the ministry, who are experts, to succeed.[/s]

God bless the President.
An Engineer can be made Director or even CEO in a Bank. It all depends on his relevant skills and training. As for the Civil service, neither the HOS nor the Perm Sec are policy formulators. That is the job of the minister and then will be approved for implementation by the Federal Executive Council. After approval, it becomes the task of the Perm-sec and other staffs of the Ministry to ensure that they are implemented. Like I said, you have no clue...BYE BYE!!!

Before the 6 week's appointment, The Former Ministers were not chased out but were allowed to act in the respective MINISTRIES until the Senate confirmed the New Ministers. No Ministry was VACANT!

Jonathan wasn't that clueless...
Barcanista, I though you know much of Nigeria political news and you are aware that the NASS that will ratify Ministerial List is yet to solve their leadership problem of last election and has not yet sit to substantially begins the legislative activities.

I think it will be unwise, if you may ask me to send ministerial list to a house (Senate) that is unsettled and Buhari and his spokesmen has not tell us that the Ministerial list is not ready yet.

I am wondering if irrational thinking and illogical conclusion/statements are prerequisite in advocating for PDP lead government under Jonathan and Criticizing the APC lead government of Buhari.

This is what 16 years of misrule could only bring, joblessness of our teeming youths. PMB has a very big job to do indeed. This scourge which is more threatening than HIV needs immediate attention before many of these guys run unclad into the streets.

Dear, I can agree in all sincerity that the job ahead for PMB is very onerous and equally daunting, and that he may need sometime before starts performing his magic, but it's totally out of place for you to claim he can't do any meaningful work because the NASS elections. For goodness sake, the principal officers of the chambers have been appointed and the chambers inaugurated.

That the favoured/anointed people of the APC didn't win the elections in the chambers isn't enough reason to suggest there's any crisis in the chambers.

It's time to start working for the people to see. Once the cabinet is formed and the list in public glare, the attending criticism just vapourise and waits till there some good reasons to criticise again. That's the truth.

There's no denying the fact PMB is a bit slow in constituting his cabinet, and that's getting some people bothered. A lot of people need to understand where the nation is headed, and only his cabinet can allay such fears, though I still believe the fears are unfounded.

Don't take this forum too seriously.

Where has thou been? No one is running in clad because of some online politics; it's all fun and nothing more.

But seriously, your mind should do the needful and get the nation a direction.

BudgITng: A Total of N42.406bn was spent on Presidential Air Fleet from 2011- 2015

Recurrent Expenditure - N16.24bn
Capital Expenditure - N26.16bn
How can ministers not announced in 2 weeks change the fact that the last occupant ran Nigeria like a drug cartel in the last 4 years? Check out that statistics from @BudgITng. Anybody who supports GEJ and uses that as an excuse to disparage a 2 week old government needs to relocate to Uselu permanently for the next 4 years.

Been kinda busy man but still steal in sometimes. There's so much misinformation in this fun. Lots find it very hard to sieve these things. Truth is I will be stupid for us not to hold PMB accountable to Nigerians. At the end of the day if he fails, 4 years have been wasted again from our lives and what do we have to tell our children that their future are being made bleaker by irresponsible and unserious governments? Nigeria is very difficult for many people on the streets including many of us online here and the task of making it better lies in us everywhere we found ourselves. All this partisanship, ethnicity and otherwise will lead us nowhere. The real politicians are just there enjoying themselves at our expense whether in APC or PDP. Except of course someone is being heavily paid for his works here which I still see not enough to justify.
