But this story cant be true. I doubt if Saraki with all the power that he has as senate president will stoop low to beg those who should be courting & petting him...

Let us shout Hallelujah and Alhamdulilah that the Agbaya of Owu who WRECKED us in eight years of his second chance civilian presidency. Not so huh

That was when-

- our country was rock bottom last for corruption with Transparency International but IMPROVED to 39th under Jonathan.
- an Attorney General, Bola Ige was killed as well as other unresolved political assassinations.
- the Anambra governor was kidnapped by the brother of Senator Uba

Are we monkeys & baboons for real to have any shred of respect for such a barbarian huh

Hmmmm, go back to history, n check what baba left behind when he handed over the gov. are we all crying like this? he settled our debt both internal and external, abt those those who are killed, tell that to the police to do their job. How much is left behind in the coffer's of the gov.?

Saraki does not need to reconcile anything with Buhari. The institutions they head are equally important, powerful and independent. One is not subservient to the other. It is in our overall interest that they sit at cross purposes.

Stop telling LIES.

Obasanjo did NOT settle all our debts even though he left infrastructures in a terrible state. He paid off SOME of our external debts.

Only a stewpid father will pay off his debts instead of educating his children so they can be productive in future to make more money to finally pay off completely the debts. Not so huh

As for the situation now ask the 36 governors who just shared and shared our commonwealth despite cautionary advice by the former president.

FG, States, LGs Share N568.4 Billion for Oct
15 NOVEMBER 2013

Also, $1billion was proposed for distribution to complement shortfall in expected revenue." The $1billion is a compromise by the FG over its words in September not to augment shortfalls anymore.

Responding to the presentation, the chairman of the States Commissioners of Finance and Ebonyi State Commissioner of Finance, Mr Timothy Odaah, lamented that the statutory allocation was getting smaller and smaller. "It appears this is the worst in terms of returns. This is the least in allocations as far as this year is concerned. We are mourning the dearth of funds and this is a wakeup call for states and local governments to buoy up their internally generated revenue."

While appreciating the "magnanimity" of President Goodluck Jonathan to approve the $1billion from the excess crude account and to be shared among the federal, state and local governments, Odaah expressed disappointment with the returns made by the NNPC.

He said that the states had requested for $2bn to complement for the shortfall in revenue but got only $1billion. In September, Odaah and fellow commissioners had walked out of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF) when the federal government said that the framework of the 2013 budget was no longer realistic and it won't augment shortfall in revenue. Odaah raised issues with the statutory allocations of previous months.

All parties involve should just shift their swords for now in the interest of the Nation at large. I trust Baba OBJ to resolve issues and Saraki the prodigal son should also apologiise openly to his party leadership and avoid dinning and winning with corrupt rejected swines called PDP. We are watching and will continue to monitor events to the best interest of Nigerians and not our selfish leaders. Shekena !!! cool tongue
The way I see it: the guy is trying to sheathe the sword. He's making visible efforts to reconcile with the party's leaders. If that's not enough, the party's leaders may swallow their dingus.

I don't know why people still celebrate this man called Obj. He had the chance to put this country in the right track after him and his goons in the military messed up the in the Pre 1999 era. But he didn't, however he aided in creating a system where corruption thrives where him and the likes of GEJ raped the country. Who knows maybe Saraki will give him a cut from the wardrobe allowance.

In a sane society he will be languishing kuje or Kirikiri prison by now.

Bleep tribalism. People should wake up and hold these guys accountable.

Oh Nigerians! cry

God forbid the day I will begin to think that without Obasanjo, Nigeria or any person leading Nigeria will fail.

Gej didn't fail cos he didn't reckon with OBJ, he failed cos he was too afraid to make very difficult decisions.

Being a good leader is more than just being a good man.

On the other hand, its too early to entirely label gej a failure just like how its too early to begin to assess Buhari critically.

Ibos have no regard or respect for order in society, life or governance, hence you are happy with an action that you know and termed "illegitimate". How will Saraki be trusted in bigger things if he failed in the basic issues of trust at a high level? To an Ibo, you are happy because this appears to be a setback for APC and Nigeria being the ruling party but I hope you are disappointed all your life with all your cursed tanoids! Any problem with APC will affect ordinary Nigerians more than people like Tinubu, who will still have a better relationship with Buhari, OBJ, etc than an unknown wasted tanoid like you who is not even known on your street or village. BTW, Saraki is still Yoruba, same as Tinubu, same as OBJ so what have you got to gain? If APC does well, Osinbajo will most likely be the next candidate for presidency on the platform of the party, and earning trust is super important at high levels of leadership and governance! Saraki may have lost the chance to earn the trust of the people while Osinbajo is working hard to earn the trust of his boss, not disappoint leaders who hold him in high esteem and working hard to show Nigerians that he can be trusted and work hard for them.

Meanwhile, you will die a sore loser amounting to nothing all your life while waiting for the APC, Tinubu, Buhari, etc to fail because they will not fail! I hope with everything that they succeed immensely because when they do, Nigerians will also succeed and visiting Nigeria will be more attractive and easier for people like me who don't live in Nigeria.

i don't like it when people assume that most Tinubu haters are igbos, like you just did. In the SS and SE there are considerable APC sympertisers which was not reflected in the results of the election due to massive rigging. Also, the little hiccup in APC now was self inflicted due to their inability to zone offices after their victory.
If you are close to Tinubu advice him to learn as a national leader to always fight for other zones and power block in APC and not only his interest and zone. I don't support or envy Saraki as i am confident he will regret stabbing the party. The game has just started because in the struggle for relevance that will arise between him, Atiku and Kwankwaso for 2019, Saraki will loose out

yes he is at the top after back stabbing his party, look! the top can be lonely if you don't ve a power base, right now Saraki has no power base, definitely not PDP, they only used him to get relevance when the opportunity called. It could be lonely, very lonely if PMB and the Party are aloof in relating with him, his situation is different from Dogara.

sir the party needs him more than he needs them at this point in time. How many of his friends from governors‘ forum are now in senate? Sir Saraki can never be ‘lonely‘ because he is in the midst of his long time political friends & allies. Saraki is of nPDP which sees themselves as power brokers. (let me stop here).

Think about this: How many people from APC supported him as senate president? APC cant impeech him. If APC fights him he will play the Tambuwal game of dancing the music of the opposition.

Their is no different between his case and that of Dogara except that dogara‘s deputy is of APC while he‘s is from PDP.

Soon Saraki‘s agents will come up to tell us to disrgared this piece of pooh.

Saraki is working with Atiku and they can never beg because they have the upper hand.

Let us even think a little outside the box. If Saraki actually begged OBJ to plead on his behalf; it means he will concede the major offices of the Senate to Tinubu group, which you and i know that will never happen.

APC will never be the same again because Saraki will play the “CHIEF“ and others will only do what he wishes because his support is coming somewhere beyond APC.

sir Tambuwal betrayed PDP in 2011 and nothing happend. Saraki is in the midst of his long time political friends. There is nothing APC will do to make him beg.

Saraki is am astute politician he understands how powerful the office of the senate president is & he also understands how those we are behind him are more than those who are against him in all things.

Betrayal or not, PDP only paid APC in their own coins but this time a little more.

Also know that a group of people is out to make sure that Tinubu becomes a “PAPER TIGER‘ in APC. These group of people will stop at nothing until they achieve it.

It will take them less than 3 months from now to accomplish this. Tinubu will bounce back to use his media power, but it will not work this time because many people are wiser today than they were yesterday.

Trust me...

He approved inauguration at 10am of our INDEPENDENT senators & representatives who are supposed to provide CHECKS & BALANCES against the executive's excesses. Not so huh

Yet he went ahead to fix a meeting with APC lawmakers at 9am that he did NOT attend.

Who disrepected who?

Gen. Muhammadu Buhari [ret'd.] needs to be reminnded this is not 1983 and we have been in a democracy for over 16 years now.
