Revenge porn is sexually explicit media that is distributed without the consent of the individuals involved. Mostly, the reason people upload them is to hurt the victim or to get back at an ex-partner.

Google announced in a new public blog post that it has taking significant steps towards curbing revenge porn.

According the post, Google will honor requests to remove from search results nude or sexually explicit images posted on the Internet without consent

"So going forward, we’ll honor requests from people to remove nude or sexually explicit images shared without their consent from Google Search results. This is a narrow and limited policy, similar to how we treat removal requests for other highly sensitive personal information, such as bank account numbers and signatures, that may surface in our search results. The blog said............

Google also said in the same blog that in a few weeks, it’ll provide a form people can use to submit requests to remove the links, should its automated system miss anything.
