Re: Buhari Set To Meet State Governors Over Unpaid Workers Crisis by Kingspin(m): 7:41pm On Jun 22, 2015
Is it to give them free money again without charges? When will our states become independent and govs meant to pay themselves from internal generated revenue. Some are afraid and extra lazy to work. No wonder we dont grow but only complain. We must restructure or this status quo may drag us into piece.

Expect to see more photos tomorrow.

But do not expect to see the president exchange a single word with any journalists on camera.

Do not expect any ministerial appointments or a press conference.

Btw didn't APC governors meet in Abuja yesterday or day before, why didn't they meet the president then?
Re: Buhari Set To Meet State Governors Over Unpaid Workers Crisis by neio: 7:43pm On Jun 22, 2015
The president shd not accede to their request. He will surely be setting a precedent that is apparently not sustainable if he did that. In all fairness, what did they do with the allocations received? They shd first publish how these funds were utilised before any bailout. Frankly speaking, this was how they stampeded GEJ into "vandalising" the ECA!

Nigerians sef, see the way u re justifying the actions of an incompetent governor, on the basis that others are owing too.

So, because other people are killing, does it in anyway suggest that u did a good thing when u kill?

.A bail out is necessary but with a condition that the governors stop being prodigal. Its not only in Nigeria that the federal govt bail out States. I am aware that the us state of Detroit was some few years ago bailed out by the administration of Obama.
Because, after investigations and financial audits, it was really true that they actually needed the bail out.

Let these bunch of criminals, tell us what they did with their own money, and after investigations and financial audits, and they are worthy for the bail out, then no qualms.

If the federal govt wants to bail them out,let them do it on the condition that it will be deducted from their next allocation. I don't understand why majority of our states have become a liability;can't generate income. I'm particularly disappointed at a state like akwa ibom that has oil even though its owing just a month or so..

Don't know where Sahara reporters are getting their source of news from. Akwaibom state is not owing salary

They should always check their facts. Most news from them are always not correct.

The earlier they verify facts, the better for them. That's the reason I don't take their reporting seriously.

Re: Buhari Set To Meet State Governors Over Unpaid Workers Crisis by peeta89(m): 8:58pm On Jun 22, 2015
In my opinion, I am not in support of this bail out at all.

Firstly, Buhari should ask them how they have been using their allocation.

Secondly, the governors should think out of the box and look for a way to generate IGR.

Thirdly, all the governors and their aides should not also receive their salaries until their civil servants get paid.

I am not a civil servants but I feel for them like seriously.
