For all intents and purposes, Nigeria is currently being ruled by a coalition government made up of the ACN, CPC, ANPP and the other parties that joined forces to form the APC. Unfortunately, coalition governments are by their very nature inept. This is because the leader of the coalition (in our case Buhari) cannot make any important decision without the implicit or explicit permission of key members of the coalition. Disregard Buhari's assertion that he will not accept lists from anybody in drawing up his cabinet. That will not happen. He is most likely considering lists sent to him as we speak.

It is apparent that this struggle for consensus is why Buhari has not been able to name his cabinet several weeks after taking office. While we wait for the outcome of the power struggle, one can guess with a reasonable degree of certainty, some of the people that will be in his cabinet. They are:

1. Babatunde Fashola
2. Abdulrahman Dambazau
3. Kayode Fayemi
4. Secretary to the Federal Government will be going back to the North (Sorry, Ogbonnaya Onu)

P.S: I got these names from somebody who purports to be close to one of the men mentioned above. If you have more credible names, add them.
