EdCure:I don't know how old the fellow that is asking this question is? Methink that if the fellow is above 18yrs old as at May 29th 2015,he or she supposed to have known the politics that prevented the outgoing president from saving. Even when when he did save, the forces(the present day progressives) that saw nothing right in saving for the rainy day(ie today) propel the then finance minister to share the funds. On a second thought, why is it taking our Dear president almost 30 days in the seat of power which he is not a new comer to realize that our treasury is almost empty. All the expenses involves in the government running from inception till date inclusive our recent commitment of $20m for insecurity in our country which could it have come from? By the way, when are we receiving alert for the monthly N5,000.00 promised us during the campaign? Our Dear president should stop giving excuses but hit the ground running as we want to see his electoral promises kept. |

DickDastardly:good change will never come for u as long as u continue to insult the president. He will surely bring good change to this country by God's grace but if u want to be a partaker of the good change u better change your orientation. Go and read about the man that doubted Elijah in the bible when he said God will bring abundance. |

emmykk:Stop this rubbish you are spewing. That money has already been collected by FG under Jonathan. You can't count it as part of what he left behind. The 100percent import u wrote is nonsense and meaningless. Learn and stop being arrogant and ignorant. |

emmykk:I am still waiting for your reply because my intention is to vanquish u totally. If na to abuse person your mouth go sharp. If na to argue intellectually your mouth go cold ![]() Reply me again na. You should stop pretending to be an economist because you don't understand how an economy works. You should also stop being arrogant and abusive as you are veeeeery ignorant. After i started to school you here, Oby Ezekwesili tutored another ignorant fool like you who thought $30b was left behind in the treasury by Jonathan. |

Activa:i brought out the best in you,the first foolish question you asked in this thread was so poor.althought you have improved but you are still in disarray. It will be difficult for me to explain simple economic term to you. However dont be deceived some of the indices that strenghten the currency of a nation is it savings.since may 29 the currency naira has not witness any sharp fall that is expected of an empty purse as you and president buhari believed. On oby,she did not answer any question or lecture or school any1,go back to the thread. She simply said money is first made in hard currency dolllar, then converted to naira before use. If the minisiter is right that $30b was left in the treasury as at may 29,what difference did oby obvious disclosure counter such claim. Nation treasury comprise of both foriegn and local balances...it will be difficult for you to understand. |

emmykk:You are so confused. Foreign reserves is NOT excess crude account! It is not in federation account! Which treasury are u talking about? Foreign reserve is held by d cbn to intervene against volatile fluctuations in currency. It's like a shock absorber. It is not for spending locally. The federation account has already received its naira value! Except of course the portion that belongs to the FGN! Open your thick skull! |

sammhi:Mr brilliant, there is a thing called 'budget', which is a plan of income and expenditure. Governments don't spend money without prior plan. Where there is a windfall as when oil was selling far ahead of plan or forecast, the excess income goes into Excess Crude Account (ECA). ECA exists to enable government tackle infrastructural deficiencies and other money-making ventures which the government wish to undertake. This is in addition to annual budget, which has elements of both recurrent and capital expenditure. Governments all over, whether advanced or third world, don't spend money willy-nilly without it being pre-planned. According to you because of "no road, bad airports, no agric, youth unemployment., no light, etc." government should not save. Do you know the reasons why countries have foreign reserves? If anything, you are the dullard here! |
