Tribunal sacks Edo APC lawmaker Posted by: Osagie Otabor, Benin in News Update 5 mins ago Edo State Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Benin City has sacked Godwin Yakubu as the lawmakers representing Estako West II constituency. Godwin was elected on the platform of the All Progressive Congress. The tribunal declared candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Eruaga Sylvanus as the winner of the April 11 House of Assembly elections. Justice E. About who read the judgment said the PDP candidate scored the highest number of votes in the election. More details later….. |

Just read it one Punch website and discovered that the PDP Candidate didn't have the highest number of votes, so why the noise?! The reason this guy is being sacked is that the notice of intention to hold primaries was not submitted to INEC in time. They sent it less than 21days to the conduct of the Primaries so the court assumed that there was no Primaries and they upturned his election. The Appeal Court is there anyway! |
