SQUARED/VERTU(E) is a better play as it conditions the board and leaves fewer options for your opponent in his next turn , U(S)/SQUARED throws the board open and your opponent might have the better of you in the next turn. You can only play this if you have very superior word knowledge than your opponent , otherwise you condition the board ( leaving fewer options for your opponents next turn ).

Now that I look at it SQUAD/ATONIAS seems to be your best bet as you can garner over 150 points in about 3 moves ( 75 points for your next play and you keep S , R and E for a possible bingo/premium in 2 moves ).
