Buhari Promises Improved Power Supply by lolaxavier(m): 5:25am On Jun 30, 2015
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday promised that his administration would give the highest possible priority to the rapid improvement of power supply across the country.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President spoke while granting audience to officials of CGGC, the Chinese construction company working on the Mambilla Power Project.

Adesina quoted the President as saying that it was quite regrettable that power generation in the country had failed to keep pace with national needs over the years.

To salvage the situation, Buhari said his administration would ensure that the Mambilla project and other unfinished hydro-power projects in the country were completed expeditiously in order to boost electricity supply in the country.

He was quoted as saying, “I am very much interested in Mambilla and other hydro-power projects, not only for the improvement of power, but also for irrigation, as both power and irrigation projects will help to improve the lives of Nigerians.

“I am going to ask for details of the Mambilla hydro-power project and others. Very soon, we will get together and redefine the project agreements for faster results.”

The Managing Director, CGGC, Mr. Zhang Heng, who led his company’s delegation, was also reported to have told the President that work on the Mambilla project was being delayed by the failure of previous administrations to provide the counterpart funding specified in the agreement with the Chinese government.

The CGGC delegation was accompanied to the Presidential Villa by Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State.

What do you expect from haters? When they see good, they keep mute; when they see bad, they broadcast; when they see nothing, they forge a lie. Power has improved almost everywhere. We still expect it to be better under our PMB.

Any news with the word dullahri and promise in the same sentence is a huge turn off for me! in fact i stopped at the topic and didn't even bother to read its content. For crying out loud! "if only wishes were horses, beggars would ride on them". Oga bubu the nigerian people are tired of empty promises, the one you made to declare your assets publicly has gone under the drain! As a matter of fact no promise you have made has been fulfilled in this your one chanced system of government. Is it the 1n=1$? or the 5,000 for the unemployed? or the free food and fruits for the children in primary schools?? oga bubu in patience voice "there is GOD o!
Its a shame that all this government can do is to make promises, take pictures and fly around private jets without minimally impacting the lives of its citizen in the shortest period of time possible! fuel prices are still high, food stuffs and transportation are sky-rocketing, nothing seems to be working as it stands and all we get are more promises?? abeg park well make i see road! Nice move Baba. I don't just know why i've got hope and believe in this government. Maybe because its the answer to some of our problems.
Re: Buhari Promises Improved Power Supply by Sunnymatey(m): 6:16am On Jun 30, 2015
Imagine, Baba is not even aware that power has improve. GEJ had actually put a lot on ground, it is rather the lack of control over his surbodinate that makes corruption to trive but at the mention of BUHARI everything that was not working before begin to work. Nigerians needs theory XY for things to work.

If you like, give yourself high BP at a very tender age, the rest of us remaining will carry on with baba gmb. If not that you are a full hypocrite, see all that you mentioned and you want them all fixed in just 30 days, something your otueke man could not fix in six years. Keep hating...sometimes it leads to insanity.

Which kind ground work...

The splitting of PHCN and its privatisation. Currently, in my neighbourhood at Enugu, EEDC is installing transformers for each street. There are about 30 bungalows in each of these streets. Is that not an improvement?
Unlike when about 10streets shared a transformer.
